Abby Macgowan is the Manager of Executive Recruiting for the Client Services division. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Winona State University in Minnesota, where she also minored in Management and Spanish. With over 12 years of sales experience and 9 years in recruiting, Abby brings a strong mix of relationship-building, business development, and leadership skills to her role.
Abby was drawn to recruiting because it combined her love for sales with her passion for helping others. She finds the most rewarding part of her work to be hearing from candidates and clients years later, learning how a placement has positively impacted their lives or business. Early in her career, she achieved a major milestone by setting her previous company’s record for the highest first-year revenue as an Account Manager.
She believes that mindset is everything, if you give your best effort each day, success will follow. Abby is motivated by her goal of providing financial stability and opportunity for her family, both now and in the future.
Outside of work, Abby enjoys long walks with her dogs, Leia and Vader, watching true crime documentaries, and spending time with her wife and two daughters. She’s an avid traveler who counts Porto, Portugal as one of her favorite destinations. Her hobbies include sneaker collecting, golf, football, movies, and exploring new restaurants. She also gives back to her community by volunteering at local food banks. Abby lives by the quote, “Whether you think you can or you think you can’t, you’re right.”
